Work Tracker

Customers

Every customer with their jobs, their history and their balance — and the two figures that go wrong in real life, each one tap from being put right.

Taken down on the doorstep

Quick Add gets a new customer in while you are standing at their gate. Pull the name, number and email straight from your phone's contacts so nothing is typed twice, and fill the street, town and postcode in from where you are standing — the house number is left to you, because a phone is only accurate to a few doors.

The customer's page

One page per customer: their jobs, every visit with its tags, every payment, and the balance. Tap their number or email for a quick word — the gate code, running late — and it opens your messaging app with nothing pre-written, separate from the round messages so nothing gets marked as "told" by accident.

A balance that adds up

The balance is normally the gap between work done and money received, and both of those keep their history. So when a balance is changed by hand — a round taken over with old debts, or debt written off to keep a good customer — Work Tracker keeps a record of the change, with the reason, right in the customer's history. The next conversation about money has a history that adds up, not a figure nobody can explain.

How long a job really takes

Days are planned off how long jobs take, and it is stood at the house that you notice the estimate is wrong. Change it right on the customer's page — the change follows the job forward to its next visits, while visits already worked keep the time they were worked to.

Asking for payment

If you take PayPal, Ask For Payment builds a paypal.me link with the amount already in it and texts it, emails it, or copies it for WhatsApp. Nothing is marked paid by sending a link — the money is recorded when it lands, usually straight off your bank statement.

Keeping the list tidy

Tidy Customers finds records with no work behind them — the leftovers of a duplicate — ranks the likely matches address-first, and merges them: payments, references and any missing details move to the kept record before the spare one goes. If both records carry a balance and they differ, it asks rather than guesses.
